Last updated 12/2020

Wonderlic developed Wonscore to assist companies. Companies use Wonscore to identify the most appropriate candidates for the job position. The test is typically administered during the hiring process.

The Wonscore exam is a culmination of three exams. Namely, the Wonderlic Motivation Potential assessment, the Wonderlic Personnel Test, and the Wonderlic Personal Characteristics Inventory.

Your score will be calculated by summing up your results in each of these tests. Wonscore assessments measure and rank employers in relation to topics shown to predict future performance on the job.

The Three Wonscore Assessment Tests

Wonderlic Personnel Test

This test is also called the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test. It features 50 multiple-choice questions. These questions assess your ability to adapt, learn, understand instructions, and solve problems. You will be given a 12-minute time-frame to complete this test.

Wonderlic Motivation Potential Assessment

This test features 30 questions. It identifies which key motivational drivers connect you to job performance and how engaged you are in the workplace.

Wonderlic Personal Characteristics Inventory

This Wonderlic personality test features 150 multiple-choice questions. It should take you about one and a half hours to finish. This exam measures your personality characteristics. To do this they use the Big Five Personality Model. The aim is to see if your personality traits fit the demands of the position you are applying for.

Why Companies use Wonscore in their Hiring Process

Employers don’t want to spend their time hiring inexperienced and inappropriate candidates. That’s why they use Wonscore. Companies use a candidate’s final score on the three tests to make their decision. Companies can compare applicants’ scores with those of other candidates. They can also look at your personality, and decision-making skills. Thus, competition is fierce. That’s why it is crucial to prepare for these tests. Preparing will help you attain a top score. This will greatly increase your chances of landing the job you want.
