Criteria Pre-employment Testing exams can be approached in relation to three areas:

Every exam developed by Criteria, assesses certain attributes and aptitudes. Each exam has a different time limit and length. The particular exam you are asked to take, will vary according to the job position and industry you are applying for. Typically, a basic skills exam will be administered along with a personality exam to measure the work behavior and cognitive skills of a candidate.

Criteria Personality Tests

The TSI Assessment in writing has a multiple-choice section and an essay part.

  • Sales Achievement Predictor (SalesAP): This test assesses the character qualities essential for sales-related jobs. For example, inhibition, hesitance to ask for a sale, motivation to close a sale.
  • Customer Service Aptitude Profile (CSAP): Similar to the SalesAP, this test is used to determine if a candidate has the character traits needed to work in a customer service job role. It measures patience, diplomacy, assertiveness, and ability to cooperate.
  • Employee Personality Profile (EPP): This exam assesses twelve personality traits, which are deemed essential in various working environments: assertiveness, achievement, conscientiousness, competitiveness, cooperativeness, extroversion, managerial, motivation, openness, patience, self-confidence, and stability.
  • Workplace Productivity Profile (WPP): This test is generally used when hiring for entry-level job roles. It is used to predict if an applicant is a reliable and trustworthy employee. It assesses the following characteristics: achievement, assertiveness, competitiveness, conscientiousness, cooperativeness, extroversion, managerial, motivation, openness, patience, self-confidence, and stability.
  • Criteria Personality Inventory (CPI): The CPI is a personality exam founded on the Big Five Model, which seeks to discover a candidate’s level of openness, extroversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism.

Criteria Aptitude Tests

Cognitive aptitude tests measure an applicant’s capability to think logically and critically, resolve issues and solve problems, take note of details, and understand and apply newly acquired information.

  • Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT): The CCAT is a face-paced exam, which lasts for just 15 minutes. It features 50 questions and three distinct types of questions: verbal ability, math and logic, and spatial reasoning.
  • Universal Cognitive Aptitude Test (UCAT): The UCAT assesses a candidate’s capacity to understand and apply information, find solutions to problems, learn and adopt new skills, and think in a critical manner. The UCAT is made up of 40 questions and needs to be completed within 20 minutes.
  • MiniCog Rapid Assessment Battery (MRAB): The MRAB is made up of nine quick tests, which assess an applicant’s capacity to use logical thought, process information, and retain information and details.
  • Criteria Attention Skills Test (CAST): The CAST takes around 9-12 minutes to complete. It assesses an applicant’s capacity to stay concentrated on the task given to him or her. The exam tends to be administered to security guards, truck drivers, air traffic controllers, and gaming dealers.
  • Wiesen Test of Mechanical Aptitude (WTMA): The WTMA takes around 30 minutes to complete and is created to measure a candidate’s capacity to operate, install, maintain, and fix machinery and equipment.

Criteria Skills Tests

Criteria skills test assesses skills for positions, which are entry level, or positions that demand certain basic computer skills. These exams measure how well the applicant works with simple computer programs.

  • Criteria Basic Skills Test (CBST): The CBST is made up of 40 questions and takes 20 minutes to complete. This exam measures grammar, spelling, math and language skills. It is typically used when hiring for entry-level jobs and is supposed to measure a candidate’s general ability to be “trained”.
  • Typing Test: The typing exam assesses the speed and accuracy of the candidate’s typing. The test lasts for one-minute.
  • Ten Key Test։ This test assesses an applicant’s capacity to undertake numerical data entry.
  • Excel: This test takes 10 minutes, and contains 20 questions. It assesses how proficient the applicant is in Microsoft Excel.
  • Word: Looks at how proficient a candidate is in Microsoft Word. This exam features 20 questions and lasts for 10 minutes.
  • PowerPoint: Assesses how proficient an applicant is in Microsoft PowerPoint. This test features 20 questions and needs to be completed within 10 minutes time.
  • Computer Literacy and Internet Knowledge (CLICK): This test takes 10 minutes to complete and is made up of two taks, and 10 multiple-choice questions. The two tasks take three minutes each to complete. The exam is created to measure if a candidate has the basic computer skills and computer literacy needed for various job positions.
