Customer-SupportCaliper Sample Questions

For the self-assessment questions, you will be given statements where you will have to grade from ‘most’ to ‘least’, or that a single statement is selected out of a number of options. Below are some examples.

Grade from ‘most accurate’ to ‘least accurate’:

  1. Sometimes it’s better to lose than to risk hurting someone
  2. Established practices and/or standards should always be followed.
  3. I’m generally good at making “small talk.”
  4. I sometimes lose control of my workday.

It is also common for questions to force you to select a response from a select number of positive statements about yourself. This means that it is extremely difficult to tailor your performance to the requirements of the role as most options reflect favorable traits. For example:

Which statement describes you best?

  1. I am responsible.
  2. I am resourceful.
  3. I am a leader.
  4. I have great communication skills.

Another type of question is pattern recognition. For these a sequence of numbers/letters/shapes are presented, and you are required to identify the next letter/number/shape in the sequence. For example:

2, 7, 26, 101, 400 – What is the next number in this sequence?

Where the answer is calculated as 4*2-1=7, 4*7-2=26, 4*26-3=101, 4*101-4=400, 4*400-5=1595.

The pattern recognition component of the examination is relatively challenging. This is, of course, compensated by the unlimited time allowance, but many might find this manner of question to be overwhelming depending on the complexity of the problem.

Prepterminal’s Caliper Assessment Test preparation course will prepare you for these questions by equipping you with the know-how and tricks required to accurately and effectively overcome these challenging problems. In a matter of hours, you can go from being completely clueless with pattern recognition problems to being 100% confident in your ability to overcome these obstacles.

Question-MarkCaliper Assessment Test FAQs

What is the Caliper Profile?

The Caliper Profile, also known as the Caliper Assessment test, is a scientific instrument for in-depth personality assessment and job matching. It provides clear, objective information on your strengths, limitations, motivations, work styles and potential.
The assessment measures 21 behavioral traits and abstract reasoning that relate to job performance. The Caliper Profile is continuously updated and ranks as one of the most advanced tools for matching personality to job performance.

How long does it take to complete the Caliper Profile?

While there is no time limit to taking the test, it takes approximately 60 minutes to complete. However, some people may find they need more time.

Is there a shortened version of the Caliper Profile?

Yes, there is a shortened form of the Caliper Profile. The shortened assessment takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. Unlike the complete Caliper Profile, the shortened assessment does not include the cognitive section (abstract reasoning ability) and is only recommended for assessing entry-level positions.
